Why join the Wendell Middle PTA?
How do I become a member?
Fill out the Membership Form and return it with your payment ($10 per member - cash or check made to Wendell Middle PTA) to school with your child. Remember, ANYONE can join: moms, dads, students, grandparents, friends. pta_member_form_16-17.pdf
Help your child: The PTA builds bridges between homes and schools, integrating the efforts of parents with those of principals and teachers. Your voice and ideas can help improve the quality of education for your children and their peers. You’ll see the smiles on their faces and know that you’ve played a part in making school a little more comfortable and fun. What could be better than that?
Support our teachers: The PTA is all about teamwork. We are able to support our teachers in many ways, such as funding teacher grants to enhance your child’s classroom experience. Teacher grants help pay for classroom materials to limit out of pocket expenses for our teachers.
Let your voice be heard: Membership entitles you to vote at the PTA meetings. The PTA votes on allocation of funds raised and approval of projects and activities, among other issues.
Discounts: Who doesn’t love a discount? PTA members receive discounts to Hertz, MetLife Auto and Home Insurance, T-Mobile and Sharp to name a few. Check out the National PTA website for a list of other benefits and resources.
